  1. When Katniss takes Prim's place in the Games, I believe she must be feeling a wide variety of emotions. There has to be fear, but I think that she always knew what she would do if the situation ever came up. It seemed as though she was always subconsciously ready for this moment. Another strong feeling that must be there is bravery and courage, for she would not be taking Prim's place. The last emotion would be uncertainty. Katniss doesn't know whether or not she will survive the Games or even what will happen in the next few minutes. That mix of emotions can either be potent or perfect. That all depends how the person dealing with the emotions handles them.

  2. I agree with Hannah that Katniss must have had a wide variety of feelings. I do think in the beginning when Prim was picked Katniss volunteered not on courage, but instinct of protecting her. When she was being visited by friends and family her thoughts and actions show her fear and panic not only for herself, but for how her family would suffer. At first Katniss doesn’t believe she could ever win, so she seems resigned, and calm for her family, but inside really nervous and definitely afraid.
