Chapter 23 Question

Dissect the presence of dramatic irony in this chapter and much of the book.

  1. To help you guys get started with your commenting I have posted little hint towards the direction I am trying to go in.

In chapter 23 Katniss is rewarded with a feast because of her convincing act about her love for Peeta. The irony in this is that the reader knows that Katniss is acting about most of her feelings towards Peeta, but Peeta himself does not know.

  2. Again, I agree with Megan. Every time Katniss did what she was supposed to do she would get rewarded. Peeta believed that it was actually real. The irony is that almost everyone else knows the truth about the relationship. The reader knows more than the character does at this point.
